The intercultural dimension belongs to Europe right from its constitution.
It is part of its DNA, its past and present and – increasingly – its future. Hence,
the need to reflect on the theme of intercultural dialogue in Europe, the reasons for it,
its actual practice and the policies needed to bring it about. This book springs from
the “Stories of a Possible Europe Project” under the Europe for Citizens programme.
Seven groups of European inhabitants from seven different countries reflected on the
problems and practices linked to intercultural dialogue, by narrating experiences
relating both to their everyday life and to working in the field within the sphere of
research or social work.

In this report we have inserted the following contents:
- The general methodology of the project;
- Some of the specific methodologies concerning the narrative methods.
All those methods are available on the web site of the project European Memories (http://www.europeanmemories.eu/Methodology/Narration-methodologies-used-in-the-project), and others are going to be uploaded, as contribute to the creation of an “open source” methodological space concerning autobiographical methodologies and active citizenship.
